All Irish baby names are copyright of nobody, because they’re names. All these Irish baby names, including Dahal, are public domain. You might think you can own the exclusive rights to use the name Dahal, but you'de be wrong. This part doesn’t apply to most of the people reading this, but for those of you who are part of the group of baby name webmasters I’ve heard about who threaten any new baby names sites saying that they’ve got all these baby names copyrighted, save your breath. You can’t copyright names or their meanings, and if you try to threaten me or I catch wind that you’ve contacted my ISP about your *cough* copyrighted *cough* Irish baby names I’ll sue you so fast it’ll make you cry. Sorry to the rest of you and it makes me sad that was even necessary, but there’s a certain webmistress of a baby name site that tries to shutdown any new baby name sites that appear to keep her add revenue flowing in, and she does it by doing things that are probably criminally prosecutable here. Hopefully she gets the message and moves on to some other baby names site and leaves the unstoppable juggernaught that is Irish Baby Names Plus alone. The rest of you enjoy the site as it’s intended and hopefully it provides some use to you in finding a good Irish baby name.
